At the age of 30, William still wears the scoliosis brace of his childhood. Against the demands of his temperamental father, he secretly plans a trip with his dying mother. Distracted by a street-wise girl who breaks him from his introverted shell, he resorts to riskier ways of earning money until the world buckles around him and he clutches for an improbable escape.
