'WAKE,N'은 ‘잠에서 깨어나다’의 의미와 ‘감정이 깨어나다’의 두 가지 의미를 함께 담은 것으로, 타이틀곡 ‘HELP ME’와 수록곡인 ‘L.I.E’는 지금 내가 있는 현실이 깨지는 이야기를 담았고, 각 멤버들의 솔로곡은 감정이 깨어나는 것에 대해 그려냈다. 이는 'W, HERE'에서 시작, 'WHO, YOU'로 이어 가며 독특한 서사를 선보인 뉴이스트 W만의 세계관과 이야기를 'WAKE,N'을 통해 다시 하나로 연결하는 것은 물론, 앞으로 이어질 서사 또한 암시하고 있다. 타이틀곡 ‘HELP ME’는 ‘너를 간절하게 기다리다 결국 너에게 구조를 요청한다’는 메시지가 담긴 퓨전 팝 R&B 곡으로, 기존 뉴이스트 W가 선보였던 서정적인 가사 표현에 무거우면서도 날카로운 멜로디라는 대조적일 수 있는 조합을 하나로 조화롭게 선보이며 ‘HELP ME’라는 주제를 색다르게 표현해 낸 곡이다. 'WAKE,N' contains two meanings, ‘waking up from the sleep’ and ‘waking up the emotion’. The title track ‘HELP ME’ and the side track ‘L.I.E” refer to breaking out from current situation while each member’s solo track refers to waking up the emotion. Through 'WAKE,N', NU’EST W’s unique story and world view which started from 'W, HERE' to 'WHO, YOU', are connected into one again. It also alludes there is a continuing narrative. The title track ‘HELP ME’ is a fusion pop R&B song with a meaning of ‘I am asking you to help me at last after desperately waiting’. It harmoniously presents two contrasting elements, poetic lyrics and sharp melody, into one. It indeed represents the theme ‘HELP ME’ in its unique way.
