Panaji based Shreeram Sawant is an honest and hardworking person who lives with his wife Janki his mother and daughter Uma he gets promoted due to hard work which makes fellow worker Janardhan jealous leading a tiff between the two where Shreeram passes away.His family shifts to Mumbai but find that the place they have come to live does not exist anymore Halwadar Tukaram comes to their rescue and takes the family along with him and they share a good bonding.Janki who has become a widow at young age is eyed by their landlord Dharmappa but she ignores his advances and decides to live a decent life.Few years later their family condition isn't good Uma who loves Mahesh son of Tukaram and has talent of singing and dancing decides to pursue her talent for surgery of her grandmother where a big businessman tries to molest her but gets saved by his trusted aide whose none other then Shreeram.Shreeram is very much alive an faked his death he finds that Uma is his daughter after he hears Janki singing but decides to stay away from them as he has taken to world of crime.
