Fan Tilden, A waitress in a small-town railway station restaurant, Fan dreams of big city life. When a young man, convicted as a bond thief, arrives on his way to prison, Fan decides he is innocent and determines to help him. She gets a job in the chorus of the local prison show and during the performance helps him escape. She then goes after the real crooks, recovers the bonds, foils the warden's searching for the escaped convict, intercedes with the governor for a pardon, and proves the young man's innocence.
