On Saturday, October 20, students, alumni, and members of our greater Chicago community came together for a day of lectures, readings, discussions, and exhibitions. Scholars from the Division of the Humanities presented their latest research in literature, philosophy, linguistics, music, visual arts, and more. Topics ranged from gastromusicology to the financial market in Ancient Greece to the value of War and Peace. The keynote address, "Shakespeare's Prejudices: Shrews and Jews" was presented by Richard Strier, Frank L. Sulzberger Distinguished Service Professor in English.
