Echoes of a Lost Love

Eleven years after the Republic of Somerland’s establishment, Amelia Clover had to marry Geoffrey Hunt, an elderly Military Commander over fifty years old. She became his concubine to pay off her adoptive father’s gambling debts. Her sweetheart, Marshal Clayton Hunt, found out and rushed back to question her betrayal. The Commander stumbled upon their confrontation and shot Clayton to death. Heartbroken, Amelia died with him.
