In 1913, Írisz Leiter arrives in Budapest where she pursues a career as a milliner at a hat store, and she soon turns into an independent, fearless woman, a shocking revelation from the past disturbs her whole being and sends her reeling towards the sunset of a civilization heading towards World War I.
